There was only one bloom in this long line of daylilies |
Beaded woodwork on Bentz |
The homes along these streets are primarily brick, colonial style, many with front porches and large lawns. They do not have attached garages, but there are garages in the alleyways that run behind the homes. Today I walked along Rockwell, Dill, and McClellan (the "alley"), enjoying the tree shaded streets and the variety of flowering plants in the yards; hydrangeas and daylilies are just coming into full bloom.
Hydrangeas |
It''s funny how rabbits think you won't see them if they freeze. |
I can just imagine the days when large families lived in these houses, with their Model T's parked along the streets. The milkman would have made his rounds in the early morning, and on Sundays, families dressed in their best would have walked to the churches in town.
I had to look twice at this! |
