Today is a HUGE day for me, as well as for the 30 juried artists for Easels in Frederick.  This morning, I will pack the car with everything I need to take with me downtown for the Grand Exhibition, also known as the Collector's Preview, featuring the 120 paintings that the artists have created this week in Frederick and the surrounding county.  My job is to transform the old armory building into an upscale art gallery, all within a few hours.  Thankfully, there are lots of great volunteers who will make this happen!

Mass of Clematis
Millipedes are everywhere!  They
come out of the mulch in morning.
Therefore, I needed to get out early, do my walk, and get it blogged before the rest of the day gets underway.  So today, the neighborhood was the best option for my walk.

I zipped on a sweatshirt, since the temps were in the low 50's, a terrific bonus for the first day of summer, and did the usual rounds of the cul-de-sacs.  The sun was just peeking up as a huge red ball over the treetops in the distance.

Smile!  It's Friday!
Today is trash pickup day, so the truck was making its rounds.  Newspapers were lying in driveways, sprinkler systems were watering lawns, and one or two dog walkers were out.  A couple of joggers passed by.

I hope to see some of you tonight at the reception.  There will be some amazing paintings on display!
