On the last day of my photo walking year, I am inviting you to join
me on a walk in Frederick, Maryland. It will be on Monday, September 2,
which is Labor Day -- a day off for most of you, I hope.
We will meet at 9:45 a.m. outside of La Paz Mexican Restaurant,
located at the corner of Carroll Creek and Market Street in downtown
Frederick. When you register, I will send you parking information.
Frederick is full of history, art, locally owned businesses and restaurants, and
many walkable streets and neighborhoods. I will provide some orientation
to the various kinds of walks you can do (with or without photos). You
may choose one of four themed routes (or do your own thing), and then at 11:30
a.m. share a lunch together with a celebration of my year.
At lunch, there will be a slideshow of favorite photos from my
walks, as well as a few remarks from me (I just can't help it). Each
participant will also receive a photo coaster tile with one of the many photos
from my walks, and one lucky person will win a framed photo.
Please look at the lunch choices below, furnished by La Paz.
Lunch A - Taco Salad: Lettuce, corn tortillas, cheese, and
your choice of either beef, chicken, or bean, topped with tomatoes, avocado,
and sour cream. A meal in itself!
Lunch B - Vegetable Burrito: A whole wheat tortilla stuffed
with broccoli, squash, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and Monterey
Jack cheese topped with sauce and sour cream, served with rice.
Lunch C - California Club Wrap: Grilled chicken breast, avocado, bacon, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing, wrapped in tortilla of your choice: wheat or flour. Served with fries.
Lunch D - Steak & Cheese Wrap: Sauteed steak, pepper
jack cheese, green peppers, onion and chipotle ranch wrapped in a tortilla of
your choice: wheat or flour. Served with fries.
All lunch choices are $14, which includes your choice of iced tea (raspberry
or unsweetened), Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, ginger ale, or lemonade, and tax and
tip.
To register, please send me an email, indicating your lunch choice
and beverage choice, at cam.miller@comcast.net. I will send you an invoice, which
you can pay via credit card, or you can send me a check in the mail. The
deadline for registration is Friday, August 30.
I hope to see some new faces, as well as those of friends and
family with whom I have enjoyed walks this year.
I cannot join you on this momentous day, but I wanted to tell you how impressed with your work and tenacity that you provide a fantastic example of how it should be done. Way to go Cam!!!!
