Day 153 - Fire & Ice First Saturday

Keeping warm by the fire.
Chilly little robin!
One of the most looked-forward to First Saturday events in downtown Frederick is Fire & Ice, held the first Saturday in February.  The weather today was certainly fitting for it, since it has not gotten above 27 degrees all day, and this afternoon we had light snow.

Although the main events don't begin until the evening, I was downtown already for an event at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center, so when it was over, I did my walk downtown, looking for the ice sculptures outside local businesses.

The snow had stopped by the end of my walk, but I decided not to wait around for dark, opting to come home instead to a warm house and a warm cup of Jasmine tea.  More snow is expected tonight.  Safe travels to everyone who goes downtown tonight!
